Chapter 10: "POWER OF THE MASTER MIND"
Two is potentially greater than one.

The power of a mastermind. Recall when I was speaking about who was smarter, the individual who knows it all or the person who has access to all the information desired through other people? Exactly. This chapter briefly expounded on this principle.
Firstly, the book defined power as “organized and intelligently directed knowledge.” Here, it can be seen that ‘organized’ is referring to having a definite and coordinated plan aiding the growth of that plan or idea with knowledge, information, action. “Intelligently directed knowledge” is a necessity when it comes to acquiring knowledge. Remember? Knowledge is potential power? The types of knowledge re as follows: - infinite knowledge(can be ascertained with the use of creative imagination), accumulated experience and experiment and research. However, being a part of a MASTER MIND can bring forth all the different forms of knowledge in one enormous box with a pretty red bow on top.
The book goes on to talk about Henry Ford and his master mind with Thomas A.Edison and others. After his alliances his obstacles of ignorance, poverty and illiteracy were no more and eventually became one of the riches men in America due to his surroundings.
Some vocab for the day:
ascertain: find(something) out for certain; make sure of.
affinity: a natural liking for and understanding of someone or something; empathy; rapport.
elusive: difficult to find, catch or achieve.
extricate: free(someone or something) from a constraint or difficulty; disentangle; remove.
woo: seek the favor, support or custom of.
Some lines that stood out to me:
“The “Master Mind” may be defined as: “Coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people, for the attainment of a definite purpose.”
“Man’s brain may be compared to an electric battery. It is a well-known fact that a group of electric batteries will provide more energy than a single battery. It is also a well-known fact that an individual battery will provide energy in proportion to the number and capacity of the cells it contains. The brain functions in a similar fashion.”
“a group of brains coordinated( or connected) in a spirit of harmony will provide more thought-energy than a single brain, just as a group of electric batteries will provide more energy than a single battery.”
“Poverty needs no plan. It needs no one to aid it, because it is bold and ruthless. Riches are shy and timid. They have to be “attracted”.”
You’ll hear from me sooner than you think.
